As of October 15, 2014, I can officially say that I'm a NURSING STUDENT! AHHHHHHHH! So far the journey has been one that I thought would take forever to happen. I graduated high school in June of 2012 and soon after began working on my prerequisites. At that time there were 10 classes that needed to be completed before I could apply to my schools nursing program. Long story short, I am currently into my junior year and just now getting in. Reason being, not because of my grades really but because I had to retake the infamous HESI!
For those of you who don't know the "HESI" is the required nursing entrance exam here in Texas(that I know of). My program only required Reading, Math and Critical Thinking (Thank God!) to be taken for a grade although we also had to take a personality profile and learning style test. Math and reading required a 75 or above as the minimum score to apply to the program. I took this test FOUR times! Reading has never been the slightest of a problem for me but math on the other hand has been. I wanted to give up completely each time I had to retake it because I would end up with a 70, then 74(!) and I felt like I just couldn't do it. Looking back I am so glad that I never gave up because the last and final time that I took it, I ended up making a 80!!

First Post EVERR?!!
Hello! To start off I want to WELCOME you to my blog! There were so many different reasons why I finally decided to make this blog. But before I go on and on about those reasons I want to formally introduce myself to you all.
My name is Shurita. I'm 20 years old, residing in Texas, as I have my whole life. I've always been a "girly girl". I never leave the house without my signature pieces; my rings, necklace, and earrings on. It doesn't matter what it is as long as I have something on. To me those are pieces you can wear that bring you to a whole different level, even when your look is very simple. What that brings me to saying is, for the longest time I have been someone who always tries to "spice" things up. Whether it was decorating folders and binders in school or making bracelet holders from paper towel rolls and CD holders(Pinterest and YT my friends *wink wink*), I've always tried to be PRETTY while being ORGANIZED.
Literally on the day before my birthday, I was watching a lovely youtuber by the name of "JAMbeauty89" video on a planner she was reviewing. What was the planner called you ask.......? ERIN CONDREN! That was my first time ever seeing a planner that was so spectacular and I had to get it for school! As we catch up to the present, I currently own a life planner and notebook....and a Lilac Kikki.K. Let's just say social media has become a new shopping "search engine" for me LOL!
Anywho, a little more about me and the main purpose that I made this blog is because of my acceptance into Nursing School! On January 12, (55 days from now, but who's counting? HA!) will be my first day of nursing school. The program that I chose is the ADN, Associate Degree Nursing program. Since learning of my acceptance and going to orientation, I have been literally trying to get my "ish" together. The main thing that they tell you is to stay organized and on track of everything that's going on. The problem I had in looking at different websites like blogs, Tumblr, Pinterest, YT, Instagram and etc. for tips and advice on how to do that is that few, of them really gave me a real tie between nursing school and planning. That is exactly why I wanted to create this blog.
